[ Little Hakka Seasons 1–2 ] Produced by Shenzhen OCT Culture Group Co., Ltd., this 104-episode original 3D animated series adapts the beloved fairy tale [Little Hakka]. Comprising two seasons—[Little Hakka Seasons 1] and [Little Hakka Seasons 2]—the story is set against the cultural backdrop of the Lingnan Hakka region. It follows a young girl, Aliang, and her magical hat imbued with the power of nature as they protect their homeland and forge a deep connection with the natural world. Blending themes of ecological awareness, family warmth, friendship, and personal growth, the animation presents the lush beauty of Southern China’s rural landscapes through delicate artistry and poetic storytelling.

Recognized for its distinctive cultural elements and wholesome values, the series received the “Best Children’s Film” award at the 14th Canada China Film Festival, standing as one of the few Chinese preschool animations to gain international recognition. It was also selected for the National Radio and Television Administration’s “2018 Outstanding Domestic TV Animations” list and has been featured repeatedly in primetime slots on CCTV Children’s Channel. Aired across major platforms such as Golden Eagle, Youku, Tencent Video, and iQiyi, it continues to rank among the most-watched children’s animations. Its spin-offs—including picture books, parent-child learning programs, and eco-themed camps—have been integrated into OCT’s cultural tourism projects, successfully realizing a cross-sector model of “animation + education + tourism” and establishing a culturally impactful brand for young audiences.
