“TCM Creative Museum” Is the world’s first large – scale, immersive narrative experience pavilion dedicated to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It was recognized as a key project in 2020 for the Belt and Road Initiative’s international cultural and tourism industry cooperation. Carrying the vital responsibility of elevating TCM culture on the global stage, this high – profile project drives deep cultural and tourism integration among participating nations.

Our team had the privilege of collaborating with legendary visual effects master Sir Richard Taylor. A five – time Academy Award winner, Sir Richard co – founded New Zealand’s Weta Workshop, an industry powerhouse renowned for shaping the visual landscapes of global blockbusters like The Lord of the Rings trilogy and Avatar. Partnering as co – leads with Sir Richard for the overall design and production presented a remarkable cross – disciplinary opportunity, infusing the pavilion with world – class creative vision and cutting – edge technological execution.

As the exclusively designated audio production partner from China, we proudly oversaw the comprehensive audio engineering for the entire pavilion. Our scope of work spanned dialogue recording, sound design, spatial audio engineering for multi – channel specialized systems, original score composition, multi – track recording, final mixing, and on – site acoustic calibration.

For the multi – channel special effects, we integrated pioneering audio technologies to transcend traditional sound boundaries, creating a fully continuous, immersive sonic ecosystem. Whether visitors are strolling through the pavilion’s serene exhibits or experiencing the high – impact, tech – driven special effects zones, they are enveloped by the unique depth and raw power of the audio from every vantage point. Through strategic speaker arrays, sound seamlessly wraps around the audience from all directions, transforming the tour from a passive visual exhibition into a multi – sensory journey. This dramatically heightens the emotional resonance and immersion of the space, effectively guiding the audience through a living, breathing epic of TCM history.

During the original score composition, we uncovered distinct cultural elements from various historical eras, seamlessly weaving them with traditional Chinese instrumentation. From ancient chime bells to the graceful guzheng, and from the melodious bamboo flute to the soulful erhu, we masterfully leveraged these unique acoustic timbres to craft evocative, narrative – driven pieces. This music goes far beyond a simple arrangement of notes; it serves as a collection of sonic chapters chronicling the legacy and cultural depth of TCM. Acting as an emotional bridge, the score elevates the exhibition’s themes, connects deeply with visitors, and sparks profound emotional resonance, allowing audiences to discover the true essence of TCM culture through the power of music.

For the recording phase, we deployed top – tier equipment and an elite studio crew to guarantee the absolute integrity of every sonic element. From acoustically certified recording environments to premium microphone setups, we meticulously controlled every technical detail to deliver pristine vocal lines and flawless musical performances. Recognizing that sonic purity and authenticity are the cornerstones of a truly immersive experience, we eliminated even the smallest acoustic imperfections during tracking, committed to delivering an uncompromised auditory feast.

The mixing stage was an exercise in precise balance and spatial fusion. Drawing on our extensive industry expertise, our engineers meticulously tailored the volume, timbre, and phase parameters across all channels to ensure every sound element functions optimally within the specialized environment. Vocals, sound effects, and music were blended into a unified, harmonious master file. Our goal was to provide the audience with an rich, three – dimensional soundscape where each individual element tells its own story while remaining connected to the overarching narrative, collectively creating a vibrant audio tapestry.
