“Monkey Magic” Adapted from Tencent Animation’s flagship IP, Monkey Magic a 3D animated feature film directed by Ma Xihai and produced by Shenzhen Mitan Animation. Released nationwide during the 2018 Mid-Autumn Festival, the film follows Sun Wuyuan, a toy monkey accidentally transported into the mythological world of Journey to the West. Teaming up with Sun Wukong, he battles threats and embarks on a journey of growth. With its innovative world-building and refined production, the film topped the box office for animated features during its debut period, earning acclaim from audiences and critics alike .
