“Ashley” Awarded the Second Prize for Outstanding Domestic Animated Film in 2011, this inspirational animated feature was meticulously crafted by Zhejiang Zhongnan Animation & Cartoon Co., Ltd. The story follows Ashley, a young monkey, on his journey of growth as he faces countless hardships and challenges, ultimately transforming into the legendary Monkey King. The narrative centers on Ashley’s indomitable spirit and relentless determination, vividly portraying his courage to confront adversity head-on and achieve triumph. The film delivers profound emotional resonance and educational value through its compelling storytelling.

We participated in the audio production of this work, handling overall sound design, audio post-production, sound effects design, music composition, and final mixing. In music creation, we employed carefully orchestrated symphonic arrangements to vividly depict the distinct personalities of different characters—the diligent monkey tribe, the majestic emperor, and the gentle queen mother. As the plot progresses, when the lively, cheerful, and dancing monkeys from an external tribe appear, the music style deftly shifts to a vibrant Big Band Jazz style. This immerses the audience as if they were right there within the wondrous atmosphere crafted by the story.
