“Cherry Color” (original title: Luan Shi Qing Yuan), produced by Fujian Century Dragon Film & Culture Co., Ltd. and directed by Shen Lei, is a 36 – episode historical drama starring Huang Haibing, Qiao Zhenyu, Li Man, and Mu Tingting. Premiering in 2012, the series is set in Shanghai on the eve of the 1937 Battle of Shanghai. It follows a group of idealistic, progressive youth who face wrenching choices between personal relationships and national duty as wartime looms, ultimately dedicating their lives to the anti – Japanese resistance movement.

As a core installment of Century Dragon’s Republic of China Trilogy, the series maintained strong, stable viewership across regional networks and was praised by China Television News as a sincere historical drama rich in period authenticity and character development. It has also been recommended as an educational screening across middle schools in Fujian and Jiangsu provinces.
