“Special Concert – The Outcast”  as the grand finale of the 2018 National Comic Concert, hosted by Tencent Animation at Shenzhen Window of the World. This production marked a milestone in large – scale domestic entertainment, utilizing a 360 – degree holographic projection system to bring the virtual character Feng Baobao to life on stage, performing in real – time synchronization with a live band and human dancers. The technical team meticulously engineered the character’s signature shovel – wielding comedic bits and traditional folk – dance choreography, integrating physical props with advanced motion – capture pipelines to construct highly recognizable performance details that became the defining highlight of the concert.

By fusing immersive audiovisual engineering with live theatrical elements, the production successfully broke the fourth wall between the 2D and 3D worlds, drawing massive acclaim and enthusiastic interaction from the crowd. Staged over two consecutive days, each three – hour performance packed the multi – thousand – capacity theater, while the online livestream drew over ten thousand pre – registered viewers. This project pioneered real – time virtual character interaction for domestic animation IPs in a stadium – scale concert setting, accelerating the commercial application of virtual performance technologies in the industry and showcasing the massive innovation potential of blending cultural IPs with stage technology.

Our studio was responsible for the audio architecture of this production, managing custom sound design, music editing, and post – production mixing.
