“Kung Fu Masters of the Zodiac” produced by Shenzhen Huaqiang Digital Animation Co., Ltd. (now Huaqiang Fantawild), Kung Fu Masters of the Zodiac is an original 3D animated series rooted in traditional culture, seamlessly blending martial arts with mythological elements. The story follows Xiaohai, the reincarnation of the Purple Polaris Star, who embarks on a quest to defeat the rampaging Nian Beast – a monstrous force terrorizing humanity. To succeed, he travels across the land to seek out the Twelve Sacred Zodiac Beasts, mastering their legendary techniques through trials and adversity, and ultimately using his unwavering resolve and skill to vanquish the threat and protect mankind.

Drawing from rich cultural heritage, the series creatively reimagines the folklore of the Chinese Zodiac and traditional kung fu through an engaging edutainment format that teaches courage, perseverance, and accountability. It was selected for the National Radio and Television Administration’s 2010 Outstanding Domestic TV Animation Recommendation List and broadcast heavily across major children’s networks, including CCTV Kids, Golden Eagle Cartoon, and Jiajia Cartoon, standing as a landmark early production that systematically popularized zodiac culture.
