“Asura” Developed over four years by the founding team of Black Myth: Wukong at Tencent, Asura officially launched in 2012 as China’s first 3D MMORPG built around a “Asura” concept. Considered the spiritual predecessor to Black Myth: Wukong, the game takes inspiration from The Legend of Wukong, shatters traditional mythic narrative frames and advances the core theme of “resisting tyranny and defending freedom.” Through layered storytelling and hard-core action design it builds an epic world where gods and demons collapse and all living beings rise in rebellion.

Shortly after release the game exceeded 600,000 concurrent users, becoming a landmark moment for Chinese MMORPGs. It went on to win “Product of the Year” at the 7th Golden Mouth Awards, earning unanimous praise for its world-building depth, art direction and combat system. Years of continuous updates have maintained a devoted player base and fostered a rich peripheral ecosystem.

Voice acting, a cornerstone of immersion, was prioritized from day one. The dev team auditioned professional studios in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Guangzhou, but none captured the title’s dark-mythic tone. Eventually the Shengzhi Langchao Voice Team emerged after several grueling rounds of casting, leveraging their deep grasp of character essence, precise vocal shaping and full-pipeline production capabilities. They assumed full responsibility for role VO, recording direction and post-production alignment on Asura, infusing the game with soul-stirring vocal power.

Ayu : A young fox spirit of the Jade Fox Clan, around 5 years old, with a lively and playful vocal tone. The voice actor precisely conveys hervibrant and innocent personality through a crisp loli voice.

Celestial General：Based on Erlang Shen (Yang Jian), around 35 years old, his voice deep and commanding. A profound and powerful baritone perfectly shapes his sharp, decisive, and authoritative presence as a commander.

Pipa Spirit：A bewitching fox spirit in her twenties, with a captivating and enchanting voice. A soft and alluring tone flawlessly matches her charm, highlighting her mesmerizing, seductive nature.

Bull Demon：Inspired by the Bull Demon King, in his thirties, his voice rugged and heroic. A thick, thunderous bass showcases his earth-shaking bravery and reinforces his overwhelming, dominant aura.

Lady Bone Demon：A tragic figure of mysterious age, once the beloved of Sun Wukong. Her voice is seductive yet resolute, carrying a hidden sorrow—striking a balance between enchanting beauty and the torment of obsession.

Long-Armed Ape Elder：Known as the “Century-Old Seer,” a wise elder ape with a hoarse and profound voice. A weathered, husky tone conveys the wisdom accumulated over time and an air of mysterious authority.
