“Backkom” follows the hilarious and heartwarming new adventures of Backkom – the lovable, clumsy, and endlessly optimistic bear. This time around, Backkom lives as an ordinary citizen in the whimsical town of Backkomville, complete with his own home, quirky neighbors, and a loyal pet. He dreams big: of becoming someone important, moving into a grand mansion, and even transforming into a superhero to save the world. Despite constant mishaps and everyday challenges, Backkom faces life with unwavering cheerfulness and courage, embracing every stroke of bad luck with a smile.

Backkom is a hit comedy short series originally created by EBS in South Korea. Since its debut in 2002, the character has been broadcast in over 50 countries – including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and China – garnering immense global popularity, with major international media outlets covering the phenomenon. In May 2014, Shenzhen Hantangyun Culture Investment Co., Ltd. fully acquired the global copyrights to the Backkom IP, establishing a comprehensive partnership with South Korea’s RG Studio for content production, global distribution, character licensing, and merchandise development.

We were honoured to contribute to the audio design for the film, handling sound – effects production, original – music composition, character voice – over and final mixing.
