“Sword 2‌” Developed by Pixel Software and operated by Tencent Games, this martial-arts themed 3D MMORPG entered open beta in 2014. Building upon the universe of the standalone title “Sword 2‌”, the game transports players to the Shang-Zhou transition period over 3,000 years ago, casting them as heroic warriors who take up arms against the chaos unleashed by the lingering spirit of King Zhou of Shang—upholding the Eastern martial arts ethos of defending righteousness through martial prowess.

With its solid IP legacy and artistic execution, the game was nominated in the 4th China Game Developers Awards (CGDA) and earned the “Top 10 Most Popular IP Games” award in 2017 (jointly issued by the CGIGC and CGWR), reflecting industry recognition of its value in continuing a classic wuxia IP. As one of the few online games to inherit the hardcore combat DNA of its single-player predecessor, “Sword 2‌” maintains high standards in motion design and hit feedback, preserving mechanics such as blocking, parrying, and combos to deliver martial arts combat that balances strategy and skillful execution.
