“Happy City” produced by Shenzhen Huanle Animation Co., Ltd., is China’s first long-form 3D animated series to integrate science fiction, intellectual challenges, and adventure into its narrative. Spanning 150 episodes (20 minutes per episode, totaling 3,000 minutes), the story is set in the futuristic metropolis of Happy City, following the adventures of protagonists Lele and Xiaozhi as they and their companions use scientific knowledge and teamwork to solve puzzles, avert crises, and protect their city.

Since its debut in 2012, the series has remained a hit on major children’s channels such as CCTV Children’s Channel, Golden Eagle Kids, Kaku Kids, and Jiajia Cartoon, reaching over 200 million viewers nationwide. With its innovative concept and high-quality 3D production, “Happy City” was listed in the National Radio and Television Administration’s “Second Batch of Outstanding Domestic TV Animated Series of 2012” Recommendation List, and hailed as “a highly educational and visually compelling original animated series.” It has since become a representative project in China’s science-popularization animation genre.
