[ Kule Kidz Gråter Ikke ] (also known as “Farewell to Football”) is a Norwegian coming-of-age drama directed by Eirik Sæther and released in 2014. The film follows 14-year-old Anna, a passionate footballer who defies the prejudice that “girls shouldn’t play football,” fiercely pursuing her dreams alongside her best friend on the pitch. However, a sudden leukemia diagnosis thrusts her into a grueling journey of treatment and isolation. Amid physical and emotional struggles, she clings to optimism and courage, using her love for football to redefine her path of growth and self-discovery.

The film was nominated for the 2014 Amanda Award (“Best Children’s and Youth Film”)—Norway’s most prestigious film honor—and was recommended by the Norwegian Ministry of Education for school screenings.
