The story unfolds in the quiet village of Saint – Victor, where the peaceful rhythm of life is disrupted by an overly enthusiastic rooster. Weary of the early wake – up calls, the residents try to use economic market mechanisms to solve the issue, resulting in comedic proposals for public auctions, noise taxes, and a specialized quiet compensation fund. Through these clever plot twists, the town’s children naturally begin to grasp fundamental economic concepts such as supply, demand, and public interest. This whimsical fable seamlessly integrates basic economic principles into a heartwarming children’s narrative, balancing educational value with artistic charm.

Produced with backing from the French National Audiovisual Institute and Canal+, the film has been widely adopted in French elementary schools as a supplementary tool for early economic literacy. The educational publication L’École des Parents praised it as the perfect animated introduction to how markets work.
