[ Kung Fu Masters of the Zodiac ] produced by Shenzhen Huaqiang Digital Animation Co., Ltd. (now Huaqiang Fantawild), is an original 3D animated series rooted in Chinese traditional culture, blending martial arts and mythological elements. The story follows Xiaohai, the reincarnation of the Purple Polaris Star, who embarks on a quest to defeat the rampaging Nian Beast—a monstrous scourge terrorizing humanity. To achieve this, he seeks out the Twelve Sacred Beasts, masters their legendary techniques through trials and tribulations, and ultimately harnesses his indomitable willpower and strength to vanquish the beast and save humanity.

Drawing from the profound heritage of Chinese culture, the series creatively reimagines the legend of the Chinese zodiac and traditional kung fu, delivering themes of courage, perseverance, and responsibility through edutainment. It was selected for the National Radio and Television Administration’s “Second Batch of Outstanding Domestic TV Animated Series of 2010” Recommendation List and widely broadcast on major children’s channels such as CCTV Children’s Channel, Golden Eagle Kids, and Jiajia Cartoon. As one of the earliest animated works to systematically popularize zodiac culture, it remains a landmark in China’s cultural animation genre.
