“Juvenile Astronaut” Produced jointly by Time Keton Culture Media and China Education Television, this 52-episode (two-season) aerospace sci-fi animation centers on astronaut training and interstellar exploration. Through narratives of scientific practice and teamwork, it aims to inspire teenagers’ interest in aerospace technology while conveying values that integrate personal aspirations with national mission.

The work has received three national-level authoritative recognitions: designation as a “Chinese Dream” key project by the National Radio and Television Administration, recognition as a key animation brand for “Promoting Socialist Core Values” by the Ministry of Culture, and selection as a 2016 Outstanding Domestic Animation. Premiering on CCTV Children’s Channel and later launched on mainstream video platforms, it sparked a wave of youth enthusiasm for space science and was hailed by media as a “milestone in domestic sci-fi animation.”

We handled the complete audio production for both seasons, including original music composition, sound design, voice recording, and final mixing. The music of Juvenile Astronaut closely intertwined with the animation’s themes, enhancing emotional expression and atmosphere. The opening theme, “Dream Chaser,” is powerful and uplifting, blending modern pop elements with driving percussion and stirring strings to embody the spirit of forging ahead and pursuing dreams. The ending theme, “Embark on the Journey,” is soft and serene, using gentle piano and warm strings to bring the story to a tender close. For the score, each scene was carefully crafted: tense moments are heightened with electronic effects and dynamic rhythms, while heartfelt scenes convey deep emotion through delicate instrument combinations like piano and violin. To capture the realism of space exploration, futuristic sound effects were also incorporated, making viewers feel as if they are right there in the adventure.
