“Ling Shi Chuan Shuo” was developed in 2015 by Shenzhen Huashi Pictures as a 60-episode urban fantasy web series. The story begins with Nuwa mending the heavens, where residual energy from the “Five-Color Stone” crystallized into five elemental spirit accessories—Gold, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth—scattering across the mortal world. These artifacts grant extraordinary powers to their chosen bearers, who unite in a modern metropolitan setting. Bound by destiny and their accessories, these young heroes embark on a thrilling adventure infused with contemporary style and Eastern fantasy, tasked with preserving purity and kindness against encroaching darkness.

As an early attempt to blend traditional “Five Elements philosophy” with urban fantasy, the project sparked notable industry interest upon its announcement, thanks to its fresh world-building and fashion-forward visual approach. Although the series did not proceed to full public release, its conceptual design and narrative structure reflect a forward-thinking exploration of genre fusion within China’s native web series landscape.

We contributed to the audio production of this project, handling sound design, music editing, voice casting and performance, and final mixing.
