【The Soccer Way】(Also known as “Benevolent Heroes: Phoenix Soars Through Nine Heavens” and “Happy Football”), produced by Shenzhen Yuqiao Animation Co., Ltd., is an animated masterpiece that blends martial arts and Cuju (an ancient Chinese ball game resembling modern football, primarily played by kicking or controlling a leather ball, combining competitiveness and entertainment, with origins dating back to the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods). The film tells an exhilarating adventure story of six young heroes who, in a time of turmoil, unite to confront the invasion of the Wolf Tribe from beyond the frontier through Cuju matches infused with martial arts techniques.

Thanks to its distinct local cultural characteristics and solid animation production, the film won the Gold Award for Top Ten Original Animations at the 5th Shenzhen Animation Festival in 2013 and was nominated in the Best Domestic TV Animation category at the 12th Sichuan TV Festival “Golden Panda” Awards. As one of the representative original animations from Shenzhen, it was broadcast on CCTV Children’s Channel, Golden Eagle卡通, and various local TV stations. It was also recommended by education departments in multiple cities across Guangdong Province as an “Excellent Domestic Animation for School Screenings,” contributing to the promotion of traditional culture among youth.
